Kota Sorong PBD – Tim Paniki Polsek Sorong Timur berhasil menangkap seorang terduga pelaku spesialis pencurian dengan kekerasan (jambret) berinisial F.O. alias K, pada Minggu (12/7/2026) sekitar pukul 15.00 WIT di area parkir RS Sele Be Solu, Kota Sorong.
Kapolresta Sorong Kota Kombes Pol. Amry Siahaan, S.I.K., M.H. menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan pengungkapan kasus ini merupakan bentuk komitmen Polresta Sorong Kota dalam memberikan rasa aman kepada masyarakat serta menindak tegas setiap pelaku kejahatan jalanan yang meresahkan warga.
“Polresta Sorong Kota tidak akan memberikan ruang bagi pelaku kejahatan jalanan. Setiap laporan masyarakat akan kami tindak lanjuti secara profesional, dan para pelaku akan diproses sesuai ketentuan hukum yang berlaku,” tegas Kapolresta.
Penangkapan tersebut dilakukan berdasarkan Laporan Polisi Nomor: LP/B/369/V/2026/SPKT/Polsek Sorong Timur/Polresta Sorong Kota/Polda Papua Barat Daya terkait kasus penjambretan yang terjadi pada 24 Mei 2026 di Jalan Basuki Rahmat, tepatnya di depan RS Aryoko Km 12, Kota Sorong.
Kapolsek Sorong Timur AKP Ahmad Wira Wisudawan, S.Tr.K., S.I.K., menjelaskan bahwa korban berinisial J.N.P. menjadi sasaran aksi jambret saat dibonceng sepeda motor dari arah Aimas menuju Kota Sorong. Setibanya di depan RS Aryoko, pelaku yang datang dari arah belakang memepet kendaraan korban, kemudian menarik gelang emas seberat lima gram yang dikenakan korban sebelum melarikan diri.
Usai menerima laporan korban, Tim Paniki melakukan penyelidikan hingga akhirnya memperoleh informasi bahwa pelaku berada di kawasan RS Sele Be Solu. Menindaklanjuti informasi tersebut, Kapolsek Sorong Timur bersama Kanit Reskrim IPTU Safrudin memimpin konsolidasi dan penyusunan rencana penangkapan.
Selanjutnya, tim yang dipimpin Panit Opsnal I AIPTU Hersan Saputra, S.H. melakukan pemetaan lokasi dan memastikan keberadaan pelaku. Sekitar pukul 15.00 WIT, pelaku ditemukan berada di area parkir rumah sakit. Saat hendak diamankan, pelaku sempat berusaha melarikan diri dan melakukan perlawanan, namun berhasil ditangkap oleh petugas.
Dari hasil interogasi awal, F.O. mengakui telah menjual gelang emas milik korban kepada seorang penadah berinisial M. seharga Rp4 juta. Polisi juga mengamankan barang bukti berupa satu gelang emas seberat lima gram serta satu unit sepeda motor Yamaha Fino warna abu-abu yang diduga digunakan saat melakukan aksi kejahatan.
Selain itu, pelaku juga mengakui telah beberapa kali melakukan aksi penjambretan kalung maupun gelang emas di wilayah hukum Polresta Sorong Kota. Keterangan tersebut kini masih didalami penyidik untuk mengungkap kemungkinan adanya korban lain maupun keterlibatan pelaku dalam tindak pidana serupa.
Saat ini, pelaku beserta barang bukti telah diamankan di Polsek Sorong Timur untuk menjalani proses penyidikan lebih lanjut. Kapolresta Sorong Kota menegaskan pihaknya akan terus meningkatkan upaya pemberantasan kejahatan jalanan serta mengimbau masyarakat untuk segera melapor apabila menjadi korban atau mengetahui adanya tindak pidana di lingkungan sekitarnya.
